It takes extraordinary courage – and many would say insanity – to climb in a barrel and throw yourself off the edge of Niagara Falls or walk a tightrope across Niagara Gorge.
The attempts are so rare that only 16 people have challenged the falls, 22 have ventured on barrel trips through the rapids and 11 have walked a tightrope across the gorge.
Their stories are told, and relics from their adventures are showcased, at the new Daredevil Gallery at Niagara IMAX Theatre. The daredevil exhibit features the world’s largest collection of Niagara Falls history, including actual barrels and artifacts along with the engaging stories of Niagara’s heritage and tales of the daredevils.
Including tax, tickets for the Daredevil Gallery are $9.28 for adults and $7.54 for children at the box office. To see the Falls Movie: Legends & Daredevils and visit the Daredevil Gallery, tickets are $23.78 for adults and $17.98 for children at the box office.
Visitors can get reduced rates online: IMAX Niagara Tickes. Advance tickets for the Daredevil Gallery and the movie are $14 for adults and $12 for children.
