Niagara Falls is best known for their popular Niagara Falls tourist attractions, but on June 8th and 9th, 2013, tourists will visit the Falls for Niagara Falls Comic Con, a weekend festival of all things geeky and awesome, such as horror, sci-fi, fantasy movies, TV, comic books, and celebrities.
The event will take place at the Scotiabank Convention Centre, located next to the magnificent Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls Comic Con will offer over 50,000 square feet of vendors, workshops, free Q7A sessions, movie screenings, seminars, a video game arena, movie cars, Falls Horror Fest, celebrities, memorabilia, and much more.
According to Show Manager, Chris Dabrowski, Niagara Falls Comic Con is a great bonus to the already amazing getaway and Niagara Falls tours. Dabrowski also states that Comic Con adds to the many one-of-a-kind Niagara Falls things to do experiences.
Celebrities confirmed include: Adam West (TV’s original Batman); Kane Hodder, Jason Voorhees, Friday the 13th ; Corey Feldman, The Lost Boys, The Goonies, Stand by Me; Lou Ferrigno (Incredible Hulk); Pat Mastroianni; Mick Foley, WWE Legend; David Prowse, Star wars, Darth Vader; Lee Meriwether, Catwoman, 1966 Batman; Sam J. Jones, Flash Gordon; Larry Thomas, Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi; Tom Savini; Joey Jeremiah, Degrassi High; Tim Russ, Commander Tuvok, Star Trek: Voyager; Jeremy Bulloch, Bob Fett, Star Wars; Madison Lintz, The Walking Dead, and The Million Dollar Man.
Visitors will have a photo opportunity with Adam West inside a replica of the original 1966 Batmobile and Batcopter. Discounted early bird tickets can be purchased online for $20 for each day. Last year’s event marked the city’s first Comic Con which had a turnout of more than 5,000 visitors. Niagara Falls Comic Con 2013 is expected to be even bigger and better! For those that are looking to supplement fantasy with some reality, the Niagara IMAX Theatre suggests taking a break from the superheroes and watching the IMAX film, Niagara: Miracles, Myths and Magic. Combine with a visit to the Niagara Daredevil Exhibit where you can learn about real life daredevils who challenged the falls.
