My daughter had a cheerleading competition over the weekend in Niagara Falls and we decided travel as a family. We had ample time in between the competition to do some of the attractions, as none of us had been there in many years. We arrived on a Thursday, and that was pretty much spent dealing with the competition. On Friday afternoon, we went on the Maid of the Mist Boat Tour, which was an absolute blast! We all had a really great time out on the water as a family.
After the Maid of the Mist we went to the Butterfly Conservatory, which was really neat as well. We couldn’t believe how many different types of butterflies there are in existence. After the Butterfly Conservatory, we saw the IMAX, which was really interesting. Not only was seeing the falls on the IMAX screen really fun, but we were able to learn about the history of Niagara Falls and the daredevil stories, which were great as well. After the IMAX we had a nice dinner with two of the other cheerleading families, walked around town a bit and then retired for the night.
On Saturday we spent the majority of the day at the competition, but afterwards our family and a couple other cheerleading families went down to Clifton Hill. The kids did all the games and rides and the adults did the Ripley’s theatre and had a really nice time. We had a nice dinner and then retired for the night.
